Merino Sheep

Originally from Spain, the Merino is now found all over the world, and is the breed on which the Australian wool industry is built.

Merino is a type of sheep prized for it’s wool. Merinos are known for having the softest wool of any sheep making it prized for professional and home knitters alike. Horned merino Rams have long, spiral horns which grow close to the head.
